About Us
Our Mission
We are a Christian-based organization doing the Lord’s work. We were established to help homeless individuals and families with their needs. We have two programs. Our first program is the Food Delivery and Outreach Program. It is a food and supplies program to make sure none of the homeless go hungry or need clothing or vital supplies. We are going to provide food, clothing, personal hygiene and toiletries, bus passes, first aid kits, and access to services on a mobile basis, going out to where the homeless are. Our second program is the Rental Assistance and Placement Program. We provide rental assistance for medium to long-term housing, and also place homeless individuals and families in short-term housing or temporary shelters. Our long-term goal is to develop affordable living complexes where the working homeless can live. These living quarters will have multiple floors with small studio apartments and two shared bathrooms on each floor. The cost of these will be based on a percentage of their current income.
Our history
Share the Love Organization was founded by Rodney M. Scott in 2022 to address the increasing homeless population, and the needs of these people. We are currently focused in Long Beach, California, but hope to support all of Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
Our Team
Rodney M. Scott and the other directors currently do all the work within the organization. We are poised to obtain some volunteers as we grow.
